Companies Championing Women - July 2024

Target 1,488 companies actively championing their female employees in July 2024. From those celebrating International Women's Day to others that have implemented menopause-friendly schemes.

The Challenge

Our client, who was organising a seminar focused on supporting women in the workplace, approached us seeking to refine their outreach strategy. Having invested significant resources, they wanted to ensure their messaging and targeting was as tailored and impactful as possible.

How Honch Helped

We examined this requirement through two primary lenses:

Social Media Analysis:

Analysing over one million public posts from June 2024, we identified 1,488 companies actively promoting women's leadership and career development. Examples include:

Jaguar Land Rover: The company celebrated 11 of their female creators who have been recognised in the prestigious Top 100 Autocar Great Women 2024 list.

Tesco: Female leaders from the company delivered speeches and led panel discussions at Rising2024 – India’s biggest summit on DEI in tech.

Arsenal: The community team led a special workshop at Emirates Stadium for female students in honour of International Women's Day.

Hello Fresh: The company recently hosted a Women in Tech Network meetup at their Berlin headquarters, bringing together female professionals to share experiences and build valuable relationships.

Red Bull Racing: The Formula One racing team celebrated International Women in Engineering Day, recognising the work and achievements of female engineers.

Menopause Support Policies:

We also researched organisations that have implemented formal menopause support programs and earned accreditation from the Menopause Friendly Association. These included:

WW - The diet firm offers a designated cool room and allows menopause as an official reason for absence.

Travis Perkins - The builders merchant has a 'hot flush community' where members can post articles, ask questions, and talk about experiences.

Boots - The chain covers the cost of employees' HRT prescriptions and uses 'menopause vests' to help team members experiencing the symptoms of menopause.

National Care Group - The adult support services specialists cover the cost of HRT prescriptions and run a Menohub support group.

Bupa - Staff have free access to the company's GP-led Menopause Plan plus a 24/7 menopause phoneline.

The Outcome

Armed with these insights, our client is actively engaging with Diversity, Inclusion and HR decision-makers at companies that are proudly championing women. They can deliver personalised outreach, tailored resources, and messaging - allowing them to increase the impact of their seminar series at scale.
